February 12 - Energy storage
Many of the currently available 'green' methods for energy generation rely on storage mechanisms such as batteries to provide power when and where it is required.
In this talk Liz Hamilton will consider how efficiently the energy can be stored, what structures are used for storage, where their components are sourced and their potential for recycling.
Should
these aspects of the provision of greener energy be considered in the
overall equation versus generation via fossil fuels?
